    The works of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks are well-known throughout the Country. Organized on February 16, 1868, we are the largest American Benevolent Organization in the United States of America, consisting of American Citizens of the United State of America and its Territories.

    The Order of Elks is a benevolent organization, not a "Social-Business Club." It is dedicated to Service to our communities and out Country. The various phases of our work, whether it be with the fortunate or unfortunate youths, care of the needy, Veterans Service, furtherance of Americanism, or other Benevolent activities, . . . offer you a wide choice from which you may choose areas of interest.

    Upon attaining membership in our Order, you will become part of a National Organization, with a membership of well over a million American Citizens, from every prominent city of our Country, who are respected Citizens in their Communities and are proud to say they belong to the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America.

Q: What are the requirements to join?
A: You must be 21 years of age, an American Citizen and believe in God. You may not have been convicted of a felony, be a member of a Communist Party, or been discharged from the United States military with less than an honorable discharge.

Q: What does it cost to join?
A: Currently there is a one time initiation fee of $100 and annual dues of $58.75. There is a one time charge of $5 for a keycard.

Q: How long does it take to join?
A: Normally about 2 months from the time you submit your application. If you submit your application in June or July, it may take longer as we do not normally perform initiations in July and August.

Q: Do I have to appear before becoming a member?
A: Yes, you are required to appear before the Investigating Committee and you must attend Indoctrination and Initiation.

Q: How do I obtain an Application to join?
A: Membership into out order is by Invitation only, you must be sponsored by a Lodge Member and have two additional members as references.
